Climate Ride Happy Hour!

I have awesome news for those of you in the D.C. area. (For those of you who aren’t….you don’t have to keep reading if you don’t want to, I suppose.) You are invited to the event of the season, the event everyone will be talking about in April. That’s right – the Climate Ride Happy Hour at the Wonderland Ballroom!

Wonderland Ballroom, a delightful neighborhood bar in Columbia Heights, has agreed to host a fundraiser happy hour for my ride on March 31, 2011 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. It’s going to have a theme of New York vs. D.C. to celebrate the cities I’ll be riding from and to. It’ll have some fun little trivia and different ways of showing your allegiance. Of course, the main draw will be the awesome people there. I’m inviting people from lots of different social groups, so the conversation should flow even more than the drinks. Traditional networking where people stand around and try to prove they have a more prestigious job than you? Not this crowd!

In addition to the draw of the people themselves, I’m also going to be raffling off some great stuff. As detailed on the previous post, I have prizes from Revolution Cycles, Java Green/Cafe Green, and Earth Treks to give away. In addition to their kind use of the space, Wonderland Ballroom has also promised a gift certificate as well! So just by pitching in a couple of dollars for a raffle ticket, you may be able to get all sorts of great prizes.

If this piques your interest, please RSVP at EventBrite. In addition, I’ve also provided a link via the image on the sidebar, right above the Support my Ride button.
